Mozambique Presidential delegation visits EPZA to exchange experiences


The delegation of the Republic of Mozambique, arrived at EPZA to learn and share experience on various aspects related to the industrial sector development.

The mission, led by the Minister of Economy of the Republic of Mozambique, Hon. Basilio Muhate, aimed to find out how Mozambique can learn from Tanzania in various fields including the management of Special Economic Zones where Tanzania has so far been largely successful and therefore it is time for their country to gain experience in order to fulfill their ambition of improving the industrial sector and achieve rapid development.

Addressing the meeting, the Director of Corporate Services, CPA. John Mwakasege, said that EPZA will continue in its goals of attracting various projects where the amount of US $ 3.5 has been understood, where the country's sales have currently reached approximately US $ 2.5 and approximately 260,000 people have been directly or indirectly employed in EPZA factories.

Addressing the meeting, the Director of Corporate Services, CPA. John Mwakasege, said that EPZA will continue to collaborate with the Mozambican Investment Institutions as these countries have similar goals. Also in the discussion, CPA. Mwakasege said that through EPZA, Tanzania has already started to reap the fruits as so far the amount of US$ 3.5 has been invested by the private sector, where the country's sales have currently reached about US$ 2.5 and about 260,000 people have been directly or indirectly employed in EPZA factories.
