EPZA with Investors from Oman


Earlier yesterday, the Government of Tanzania through the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade received a delegation of businessmen from Oman who arrived in the country with the aim of looking at various investment opportunities in the agricultural and livestock sectors in a special meeting held in Dar es Salaam. The message was received by the Deputy Minister of Investments, Industry and Trade Hon. Exhaud Kagahe (MB) who represented the Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade Mr. Dr. Ashatu K. Kijaji (MB) where also in the meeting various governmental institutions participated including EPZA. For his part, the Director General of the Export Processing Zones Authority (EPZA), Charles Itembe who participated in the meeting explained in detail the various investment opportunities that EPZA offers in the fields of Agriculture and Livestock. In explaining that, Mr. Itembe explained how EPZA has strengthened itself in making the investment environment in the country more friendly through SEZ and EPZ programs that affect strategic sectors such as Agriculture and Industry. And thus asking investors from Oman and various countries in the world to look at Tanzania as a friendly country in the field of investment. And the Ambassador of Tanzania in Oman, Hon. Ambassador Abdallah Killima explained that the Omani delegation was led by the Director General of the Investment and Development Authority of Agriculture in Oman, the Director General of BADEA Bank along with representatives from AL-Bashiry Meat Company and Oman Food Investment Company who all expressed interest their investment in Tanzania through various institutions including EPZA.
